50 CENT KISSES JOAN RIVERS!!!???

March 29, 2012
WireImage50 Cent assembled quite a team to help him promote his new Street King energy drink. The rapper recruited "Jersey Shore" star and aspiring rapper Pauly D, who is signed to his G-Note record label, and 78-year-old comedy legend Joan Rivers! Even funnier than the assemblage of the unlikely trio itself is the fact that Joan received a giant smooch from Fiddy on the set of the new commercial, as pictured above!

"I tried to put together the odd team, not the A-team," the G-Unit mogul told Access Hollywood. "It has a lot of different layers to it for something that has to happen in 30 seconds." The "odd team" gathered at Planet Fitness in Harlem on Tuesday (March 27) to shoot the ad, and Rivers hit the weights wearing "athletic-inspired diva wear" including a $75,000 chinchilla coat!

"The premise of the commercial is I have no energy, I drink the drink, and I'm ready for fun," the feisty "Fashion Police" host explained. Rivers even gave herself a nick name 34 Cent, in honor of her new friend.

It all sounds like good fun, but 50's new drink is not just about turning a profit as a part of his "Get Rich" motto. "When I developed the concept for this actual project, we thought about my experiences traveling in Africa," he explained. "And I wanted to do something 'cause of how bad famine does in Africa. So we partnered with United Nations World Food Program in order to provide a meal with every actual energy drink. So I'm excited about that."

Video ignites outrage in Martin shooting
George Zimmerman's father told Orlando television station WOFL that Trayvon Martin threatened to kill his son, then beat him before he shot and killed the 17-year-old in Sanford, Fla., on Feb. 26.

"It's my understanding that Trayvon Martin got on top of him and just started beating him," Robert Zimmerman told WOFL. "Martin said something to the effect of, 'You're going to die now' or 'You're going to die tonight.' He continued to beat George. At some point, George pulled his pistol. Did what he did."

"He was punched in the nose. His nose was broken," the 64-year-old Zimmerman continued. "He was knocked to the concrete. Trayvon Martin got on top of him and just started beating him. In the face. In his nose, hitting his head on the concrete."

Only a shadow of the elder Zimmerman's face is shown in the televised interview because of fears for his and his 28-year-old son's safety

NYC SCHOOL STOP THE SAG????

March 29, 2012

New York State Senator Eric Adams (D-Queens) wants to ban sagging pants in New York public schools. In a New York Post editorial, Adams points out that sagging pants are not only a bad look, but leaves youth who partake in the trend ill prepared for the future.

"When you walk through the halls of our schools, you see children showing their behind, the cracks of their behind, their underwear, young girls showing their G-strings," wrote Adams. "And the institution that's supposed to be responsible for developing well-rounded young people is not stopping it."

Adams, who noticed kids sagging when he was overseas, is lobbying NY Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott to ban the practice. Walcott is reportedly looking into the legality of such a measure. According to Adams, too many kids are not getting the proper guidance at home thanks to parents who sag themselves [sigh]. So some more intervention is needed.

The communities I represent are ground zero for sagging. Some people may think, What's the big deal? But it's more than someone not wearing a belt on their pants. It is symbolic of the erosion of basic, normal decency. People shouldn't be displaying their pubic hairs. That is not normal, acceptable behavior in young people that we are grooming to be in a professional environment. You can't dress the same on the corner as you can in corporate America — you'll be unemployed.

Adams, who grew up in South Jamaica, Queens and is a former cop, has a point. And at least he didn't blame rappers.

RICKROSS CAN KEEP HIS NAME

March 29, 2012

William Henry Roberts can continue to go by the stage name "Rick Ross" thanks to the L.A. County Superior Court. Former drug kingpin, "Freeway" Ricky Ross, had sued the rapper for taking his name and allegedly imitating his life in his lyrics. The case—which was originally thrown out in 2010—has been reopened in California with a new trial date set for early May in Los Angeles, but today the judge threw out the case.

“I think he's a complete idiot,” said Freeway Ricky Ross in an earlier interview. “It's a disgrace for me to have someone like this with my name. He doesn't know what the name stands for, or how I got my name. He thinks that this name belongs to some big mafia guy who don't care about nothing but himself and really, he's just a pig
